Brooklyn Bridge 6x6 Illustrative Tile in Green Sapphire Glaze. The design for this tile is inspired by a period poster advertising The United States Electric Lighting Company at the time of the Bridge opening. Beginning forms for this series, along with Flora Fauna Series, is created by carving into a block of plaster. Surfaces flush with the original tile remain lighter while the deeper carved areas catch the melting glaze becoming thicker and darker. This tile has groove in back to hang with included metal cleat.
